Lees Rhinos rocked by two suspensions as Hull KR set to miss key man

Leeds Rhinos forwards Matt Prior and Morgan Gannon have both been handed two match suspensions by the match review panel following incidents in Friday’s win over Hull KR at Headingley.

Prior received a Grade B charge for tripping in the first half and was given a two game ban. Morgan Gannon received a Grade C charge for touching an injured player following the tackle that saw both Kruise Leeming and Lachlan Coote leave the game through injury. Gannon’s previous unblemished record meant he received a two game ban.

Albert Vete has also been handed a two-game ban and will miss the Challenge Cup semi-final this weekend.

Following the latest round of Betfred Super League fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

Morgan Gannon (Leeds) – Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Matt Prior (Leeds) – Grade B Tripping – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Albert Vete (Hull KR) – Grade B High Tackle – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Jacob Miller (Wakefield) – Grade B Tripping – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Matty English (Huddersfield) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Oliver Wilson (Huddersfield) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Liam Kay (Wakefield) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Kallum Watkins (Salford) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
The following player was handed a caution:
