Leeds v Wigan: Squads Announced

Leeds and Wigan have both announced their 21-man squads for Saturday afternoon’s Challenge Cup semi-final fixture at the Totally Wicked Stadium (KO 2:30pm).

Both sides flew through the quarter-final stage, with the Rhinos defeating Hull KR 48-18, and the Warriors beating Hull FC 36-4.

In total, Wigan have won the competition the most times out of any team, with 19 Challenge Cup victories, while Leeds have won the second most, with 13.

Both sides comes into the game on the back of a loss, having fielded weaker squads for their league games earlier in the week.

Leeds Rhinos

As expected, Richard Agar makes a raft of changes from the squad that lost to Catalans on Wednesday. Luke Gale, Rhyse Martin, Matt Prior, Rob Lui, Richie Myler, Ash Handley and Konrad Hurrell are all back in contention. Fullback Jack Walker, who returned against the Dragons after several months out with an ankle injury, is also included, as is Cameron Smith, who suffered a broken jaw in training in August and has been out of action since.

Wigan Warriors

Adrian Lam has also made wholesale changes to his side. Among those returning are Zak Hardaker, Oliver Gildart, Thomas Leuluai, Liam Farrell and Sean O’Loughlin. Youngsters Harry Smith and Amir Bourouh, who impressed against Saints, keep their places.
