Leeds v Wakefield: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

It’s the first clash of round six as Leeds take on Wakefield at Emerald Headingley with both teams out of sorts.

The Rhinos come into the game on the back of five straight defeats, with the most recent being a heart breaking 14-13 loss to Huddersfield two weeks ago. Trinity are one of just two clubs yet to taste victory so far in 2021 with six losses, including a 28-22 defeat last time they faced Leeds in round one.

Rhinos captain Luke Gale is back in contention after a month out with a fractured thumb. He replaces young centre Alex Sutcliffe, who has picked up a knee injury. Matty Ashurst returns for Trinity after missing their last four games through injury. He is one of two changes made by Chris Chester, as Brad Walker also comes back into the fold with Bill Tupou and Sam Eseh dropping out.
