Leeds v Hull FC: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

In a game that feels as big as a final, two of Super League’s biggest names do battle to close out day one of the Magic Weekend. It’s do or die for both Leeds and Hull where the play-offs are concerned and the pressure could very well bring the best out of both teams.

Things don’t get easier for Richard Agar and his Leeds team. Now without Zane Tetevano for the next three games and Callum McLelland for the rest of the season, Agar’s options are limited. The absence of McLelland leaves Leeds with only three ballplayers in their squad. This could see Agar call up Jarrod O’Connor onto the bench as a back up number nine although Luke Briscoe could also be trusted with a stint behind the ruck allowing young back Jack Broadbent to come into the side.

As for Hull, the options available to them in the backs are greatly improved following the return of Carlos Tuimavave and Jamie Shaul the latter of which I’m backing to return to the bench where he started against Hull KR. However, the loss of Scott Taylor down the middle will be damaging meaning Brett Hodgson could ask some of his other forwards to do bigger minutes than usual.
