One Leeds Rhinos youngster will move on to pastures new next season after inking a deal to play in the Championship.
Staying in West Yorkshire, Elliot Fox will link up with the Batley Bulldogs for season 2027, as he looks to take his first steps in the professional game.
A reserves team regular, Fox plies his trade as a hooker and will replace veteran number nine Alistair Leak next season, in what is a true passing of the torch.
The Stanningley junior scored a try in Leeds’ reserves semi-final defeat to Warrington Wolves in August, and has been with the Rhinos since Scholarship level, where he arrived in 2024.
Fox never made a senior appearance during his time at the club, be that for the Leeds first team or out on loan, so he is stepping into a new environment next year as he looks to progess his rugby league career.

Ex-Warrington and Wigan man makes Championship switch
Elsewhere in the Championship, prop Samy Kibula has made the move from Swinton Lions to Rochdale Hornets, becoming their fifth signing of the off-season.
Rochdale have already announced the arrivals of ex-Leeds youngsters Dylan Proud and Ben White, whilst Huddersfield prospect Jack Twigg and former Wakefield rookie Harry Ratcliffe have also joined the side.
“I’m really happy to be joining Rochdale Hornets,” Kibula told the club website.
“I’m looking forward to getting around the lads, working hard in pre-season and getting myself ready to perform.
“I want to come in, give everything I’ve got and help the team achieve its goals. I can’t wait to get started and have a really good season together.”
