Sky Sports pundit Kyle Amor has claimed that Leeds Rhinos are so out of form that they will falter in their next four games and fail to beat all of Super League’s current bottom three.
With the pressure and outside noise seemingly mounting on Leeds Rhinos head coach Rohan Smith, he’s in desperate need of a nice run of games which he has thankfully got with Castleford, Hull FC and London all in the next four.
The remaining game in that set of four is Leigh Leopards meaning that Leeds Rhinos actually play the current bottom four in their next four games, a perfect way to remedy their poor form surely?
Kyle Amor thinks not, suggesting that Smith’s side are so out of form that they might only manage to win one of those four rather than the desired or expected three out of four. Speaking on Sky Sports, the former St Helens forward identified the fixtures as a welcome pressure release for Smith, before suggesting that it could instead be a banana skin.
Amor noted: “They’ve got Castleford, Hull FC, Leigh and London, and would imagine that Rohan Smith will be really really hoping that his troops are going to take the pressure off him.
“They’ve got to come away with three wins out of four in that group but they don’t have any right at the moment to come out with three wins out of four.
“They have been so far off it that it wouldn’t surprise you if they came out with just one.”
Are Leeds Rhinos in reverse?

Leeds Rhinos have been a yo-yo side across the past two seasons with that yo-yo placed just on the cusp of the playoffs. One week they look like world beaters and seem sure of a top-six spot, whilst the next they’re slipping aimlessly to another defeat.
Of late, the Rhinos have certainly been more in line with the latter of those two metrics. The two losses to Catalans Dragons and St Helens have started the alarm bells massively with lots of shouts for Rohan Smith to be sacked after Friday’s defeat.
Unconvincing wins against Hull FC and London Broncos last month couldn’t even halt those ‘Rohan out’ chants and they were in full flow from the away support at The Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday.
Asked if Leeeds Rhinos are a club “in reverse”, Kyle Amor pulled no punches: “I think they are. Rohan Smith obviously took over and he got them to a Grand Final and ever since then, I think it’s gone south.
“They’ve spent an awful lot of money recruiting that spine. There are quality attacking players in there but they have just not put it together.”
Even the ever-loyal Jamie Jones-Buchanan was accepting that the loss to St Helens marked a worrying trend that has seen the team be far too inconsistent, an ominous sign ahead of this crucial run facing the bottom three.
JJB argued: “I think they lost some altitude last night. I think there have been moments where they’ve looked to be getting off the ground and building something.
“I think they’re quite anomalous. I don’t always understand what that is but the loss to St Helens was a disappointment.”

What a lot of nonsense. Castleford could be close, but London and Hull FC!! Do me a favour.
