Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR have named their 21-man squads for Thursday night’s heavyweight matchup at AMT Headingley. The big news coming out of both camps is that stars Mikolaj Oledzki and Tyrone May are both back available for their respective sides.
With two matches played this year, the Rhinos and Robins have one win apiece, with KR taking the win earlier in the season at Headingley, before Leeds edged a low-scoring affair at Craven Park in July.
Hull are six points clear at the top of the league, and a win would almost certainly confirm their league leaders shield win.
For Leeds, a win would move them level on points with Wigan Warriors, who also face a tough task as they welcome Wakefield Trinity on Sunday afternoon.
Here is the all-important squad news for Thursday night’s Las Vegas dress rehearsal.
Leeds Rhinos team news:
England international Mikolaj Oledzki returns for the first time since suffering a facial fracture in a home defeat to St Helens earlier this season. He has missed the last four, but could return to the squad this week.
Joe Shorrocks, who’s loan signing from Salford Red Devils has been announced this morning, is included and could make his debut given the injuries in the Leeds pack. Leeds gave a first start to teenager Presley Cassell in the front row, and impressed against Castleford, as he scored his first senior try.
The pair both come into the 21 in place of youngsters Zak Lloyd and Jacob Stead.

Hull KR team news:
Willie Peters has made just one change to the initial squad named to face Wigan Warriors. Halfback Tyrone May is eligible for selection after completing his two-match ban picked up against Salford. He returns to the squad, but is carrying an injury niggle. Willie Peters confirmed in a press conference that the former Catalans man’s inclusion would be decided closer to the game:
“Tyrone had a bit of an issue, so we just need to make sure that that’s okay, which we’ll know more at the back end of the week. So that’s the main thing. If he can get through and he’s okay with that, then he’ll come back into the side. We’ve just got to make sure that he’s okay.”
He comes in for the suspended Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, who picked up a two-match ban for an incident in the game over the Warriors.
Rowan Milnes, who re-joined the Robins on a two-week deal from Castleford Tigers has had his loan extended and remains in contention for a second Rovers debut.
