Leeds Rhinos star returns from suspension as Warrington Wolves make two changes including veteran half-back

Warrington Wolves have been dealt some mixed injury news ahead of their top-of-the-table clash with Leeds Rhinos on Thursday night.

Sam Burgess has been forced into some squad changes, with the boss making multiple switches from last week’s 21-man squad.

Zack Gardner is one of two players to be removed from the squad. The young centre suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the win over St Helens last Thursday. Also out of the side is young hooker Tommy Rhodes.

On a more positive note, Marc Sneyd and Arron Lindop have both been cleared for a Super League return, with Sneyd missing the last week and Lindop being absent since August last year with an ACL injury suffered against the Rhinos.

Leeds have made one change to the side that was named to face Toulouse Olympique last week, with Brad Arthur’s side being very fortunate on the injury front during the first part of the season.

Returning from suspension is full-back and current Man of Steel frontrunner, Lachie Miller, who joins the squad after missing the last three for making contact with a player who is or may be injured in the defeat to Wigan.

Fergie McCormack, who has performed admirably in his place, retains his spot in the 21 with Riley Lumb dropping out of the initial side.

Get your reporting right Rhodes is a half back not a hooker.

Get your reporting correct. The Squads listed do not reflect who is in. Try starting again. There are numerous errors……….
