Leeds Rhinos star has accepted offer from Super League rivals confirms Rohan Smith

Leeds Rhinos

Rohan Smith has confirmed that another player is set to leave the club at the end of the year.

Speaking to the press today, Smith confirmed that exciting winger Liam Tindall had rejected an offer from the club and has accepted an offer elsewhere.

He said: “I am not sure what or when an announcement will be made.

“We made him an offer that wasn’t accepted and I believe another one was.”

Tindall has been linked with a move to Super League rivals Hull FC but Smith couldn’t confirm that would be Tindall’s final destination.

The winger, who can also play fullback, made his debut against Catalans Dragons and made headlines with an amazing ducking and darting run that nearly led to a sensational try.

He would later that season score his first try for the club against St Helens but wouldn’t score again until recently with an intercept against Wigan Warriors which he finished brilliantly with footwork on the covering Jake Wardle.

A player Leeds certainly wanted to keep but one that will now be headed to pastures new in 2024 it seems.

Smith isn’t worried about replacing him however, saying: “We have a lot of players in the outside backs in the academy who are a similar age to Liam.”

The Rhinos are also set to lose Sam Walters to Wigan Warriors in 2024.
