Leeds Rhinos star banned for FIVE games as Warrington Wolves man gets lengthy ben

Leeds Rhinos’ Muizz Mustapha and Jacob Gannon of Warrington Wolves will miss five and three matches respectively following the outcome of independent tribunal hearings this evening.

Both players were referred to tribunal following incidents during the recent Reserves match between the two clubs. Gannon pleaded guilty to a Grade D Dangerous Contact charge, while Mustapha was successfully in seeing his original Grade E referral for a Dangerous Throw downgraded to D.

Earlier today the following players accepted the penalty notices imposed by the Match Review Panel.

Harvey Livett (Salford Red Devils) – Disputed decision – Grade A – 0 matches

Peter Mata’utia (Warrington Wolves) – Dangerous contact – Grade A – 1 match

Sione Mata’utia (St Helens) – Dangerous contact – Grade B – 2 matches

Matt Parcell (Hull KR) – Dangerous contact – Grade A – 0 matches

Scott Taylor (Hull FC) – Dangerous contact – Grade B – 1 match
