Leeds Rhinos signing’s shirt number seemingly revealed which will see Grand Finalist move closer to the first 13

Leeds Rhinos twitter page has been down for a few days denying the club the ability to make major announcements.

The club is set to sign Nene MacDonald from the Leigh Leopards for 2023 but any announcement has been delayed by the fiasco.

Meanwhile, the club have yet to confirm their 2023 squad numbers despite the fact they have evidently been assigned based on the fact many pictures have circulated of players in their new gear revealing their new shirt numbers.

Jack Sinfield has moved from 32 to 29, new signing Toby Warren will wear 27 and ex- Castleford Tigers man Derrell Olpherts is set to wear 16 which means Richie Myler will move to the number one shirt most likely.

Meanwhile, another of the club’s new signings has seemingly been given his squad number for 2023.

That is former Leigh Leopards, Salford Red Devils and Swinton Lions winger Luis Roberts.

He has been pictured on Kruise Leeming’s story with the number 24 on his training gear.

This number has previously been worn by the likes of Jack Walker and Man of Steel Paul McShane.

It was most recently worn by Jarrod O’Connor who started the 2022 Grand Final against St Helens at hooker ahead of skipper Kruise Leeming.

Whilst it is unlikely he will take the number nine shirt, this likely means O’Connor will likely take the number 14 shirt vacated by the departed Brad Dwyer who joined Hull FC for 2023.
