Leeds Rhinos got to the Grand Final in 2022 for the first time in five years.

They came up short against St Helens but the Rhinos’ job in 2023 is going that one step further and winning that famous trophy for a ninth time.

The Rhinos have made nine signings to help do that including exciting French forward Justin Sangare.

The Rhinos’ new number 17 is keen to deliver “great things” in 2023 to Headingley as he told Serious About Rugby League:

“You never know what the year has in store. But what I can tell you is that we want to do great things and be very competitive.”

Key to this success will be camaraderie and the Rhinos squad has been very welcoming of the Frenchman:

“The whole team welcomed me, they helped me enormously and I am very happy to be here.”

Meanwhile, he explained why he signed for Leeds citing them as his “dream club” and revealing Rohan Smith was key to the move:

“I have signed for Leeds because it’s my dream club and for that great history in rugby they have as a club.

“But also because of the coach Rohan Smith who has helped me a lot in the past.”
