Leeds Rhinos share story of five-year-old inspired by Kevin Sinfield to do fundraiser

Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield has gone above and beyond in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.

Ever since the diagnosis of good friend and former teammate Rob Burrow in 2019, Sinfield has done three huge challenges.

He ran seven marathons in seven days in 2020, 101 miles in 24 hours last year and last week he completed seven ultramarathons in seven days.

All three of these challenges have raised money and awareness in the fight against MND all breaking the £2 million marker every time.

In fact his latest challenge has reached £2.1 million.

Speaking to the press after this latest challenge, Sinfield revealed that all added up together him and his team have raised over £7 million, a sentimental figure considering Burrow is one of the most famous Leeds Rhinos number sevens ever.

However, in truth this is only scratching the surface of what Sinfield has accomplished as he inspired others to take on their own challenges.

Now Leeds have shared the story of a five-year-old who has been inspired by Sinfield on Twitter.

According to Northern Ireland World Beth Young from ran seven 2km runs in a week just like Sinfield in a perfect example of how Sinfield has inspired others even young children to help in the fight against MND.
