Leeds Rhinos are set to lose one of their loan signings back to his parent club.
That man is Yusuf Aydin who was loaned by Leeds on an initial two-week deal, but Wakefield Trinity head coach Willie Poching has confirmed that Aydin will be back in Wakefield colours.
“We will be calling Yusuf back,” Poching told BBC Radio Leeds.
“We need to replenish our stock of middles.
“I think it has been a great experience for him going over there and playing in that game [on Thursday] will have done him a world of good, but we need him here and back within our group.”
Poching has also revealed that he was surprised that Rohan Smith didn’t play him more.
“I am sure Rohan (Smith) had his reasons,” Poching added.
“Maybe he joined the group a little bit late or whatever it was.
“I am still to have a look at him from Thursday night in detail, but he played a pretty good hand in the game.
“He didn’t do anything that shone out, but it sounds like he did his job and did it well so hopefully he gets a lot of confidence from that and we can use that when he gets back here.”
Aydin made his debut for the Rhinos last night in an incredible 42-12 win over Wigan Warriors.
The Warriors were cut to ribbons by Leeds throughout the fixture, with the likes of Harry Newman and Cameron Smith cutting Wigan apart who simply had no reply.
Bevan French and Jai Field were not given their usual space which shut the Warriors down with Matt Peet’s side scoring just one try in either half as Leeds racked up yet another big win.
The Rhinos now sit just one point behind Hull FC in sixth in the play-offs.
