Leeds Rhinos ruing the loss of AJ Wallace to Bradford Bulls

There was no room for AJ Wallace in the Leeds Rhinos side for 2022.

So, following his release from the Headingley outfit, John Kear at the Bradford Bulls picked him up.

And, it’s been a match made in heaven so far with Wallace stamping his own mark on the Bulls squad, proving himself to be a big hit with fans, teammates and coaches alike so far.

Kear previously told the Telegraph and Argus: “It just shows the number of good youngsters that Leeds have got. AJ was told there was no room for him because of what was in front of him.“I understand that because you’ve got people like (Morgan) Gannon and Rhyse Martin and so on. But he can play as he has demonstrated.”

Again, Wallace turned up as Bradford went down to Featherstone Rovers the other night on Premier Sports, injecting some much-needed enthusiasm into a tired Bulls outfit.

The powerful second-rower scored a superb try with the 19-year-old making a big impact at Odsal.

And, with Leeds desperately in need of some new blood, have the Rhinos let go one of their own when they should have kept hold of him?
