In 2022, Leeds Rhinos defied the odds.
The Rhinos were second bottom in April yet still stepped out at the Theatre of Dreams in the Super League Grand Final, their first since 2017.
It wasn’t to be against Champions St Helens but it was a small taste of what Rohan Smith can bring to Headingley and with a full pre-season to stamp his style on the club, we could see the very best of the eight-time Super League Champions in 2023.
Smith has already brought in the likes of Luke Hooley, Justin Sangare and Sam Lisone as he puts together his new look side.
They already have their literal new look for 2023 as well.
Before the World Cup, the Rhinos released a new look home shirt which was a much darker shade of blue – navy – with a white hoop round the middle of the jersey.
Leeds have followed that up today with their new away kit for 2023.
Their away look is also a shade of blue, but more of a turquoise or a grey-blue and uses a modern design with lighter and darker shades of the colour interweaved in a lovely modern look.

It seems to indicate that a third kit will be released for occasions when they meet teams who also wear blue such as Warrington or Wakefield.
