Leeds Rhinos have provided an update on Zak Hardaker following his suspected seizure last week.
Hardaker was due to play for the Rhinos against Hull KR last Friday, but suffered a seizure outside his house after training last Tuesday.
New head coach Rohan Smith revealed that he would be getting more clued up about the situation before he commented too much, but he did reveal that Hardaker had been tested again after successful first tests.
“The club had already had conversations with Zak before I was announced, but it’s a little unfortunate the situation that happened last week,” Smith said.
“But if the tests have come back fine then we look forward to welcoming back into the fold.
“I’ve got a vague overview and the first set of testing were all positive results, meaning he was good.
“There may be some other results waiting to be finalised or fed back. I will be getting an update on him.”
However, Hardaker has since returned to training with the club tweeting: “It was great to see @zakhardaker1 back at training today, he’s continuing his recovery under the guidance of the clubs medical team.”
