Leeds Rhinos post staggering social media numbers in 2022

By the time it comes to the 2023 Grand Final, Leeds Rhinos will have gone six years without lifting the Super League trophy.

Despite that they remain one of the biggest clubs in the country with perhaps the strongest social media presence of any rugby league club.

This has been demonstrated in 2022 as the club enjoyed huge success on YouTube as revealed on the club’s website.

Over the course of the year the club has recorded 1,426,145 total views meaning more users watched Rhinos videos than the year before. Videos over the last 12 months has accumulated almost 1.5 million views, the largest of which being a look at what a player medical looks like at the club from 2019.

There were 1,829 new subscribers. The Rhinos’ channel brought in new viewers too. Nearly 2,000 new users subscribed to the Rhinos channel, which is up from 1,500 in 2021.

As well as this, the club recorded 54,653 live watchers. The club also ramped up its live coverage of Womens, Academy, Reserves and Scholarship matches. Six matches were broadcast live on YouTube, while there was also three live commentaries of the Rhinos’ trips to Toulouse and Catalans as well as the Academy Grand Final.

There were also 19,897 views on top video of the year produced in 2022. Whereas the player medical was the most watched video in the Rhinos’ archive during the year, the highlights of Leeds’ historic win in Catalans has gone down as the best video produced in 2022. The video has over 19,000 views and over 2.3K watch hours
