Leeds Rhinos defeated Castleford Tigers 38-24 at Headingley in Round Three of Super League and the player ratings are now in.

The Rhinos were 18-0 ahead at half-time and 38-6 in front with 17 minutes left, but conceded three late tries to give coach Brad Arthur things to work on ahead of next Leed’s visit to Catalans Dragons on Saturday.

It was the club’s first home win of the season and took them to fifth in Super League, sitting on four points alongside the likes of Warrington Wolves and Hull FC.

Here’s how we’ve rated the Leeds Rhinos players.

Jake Connor – 8

Scored a terrific solo try to open the scoring and involved in at least three more, playing as the main pivot on attack.

Ryan Hall – 8

Kick helped create the fourth try and he scored the sixth to earn a well-deserved rest.

Ash Handley – 8

Lovely kick to set up Rhinos’ third try, one excellent break and scored a nice touchdown.

Harry Newman – 7

Read Handley’s kick well for his try and was involved in another.

Riley Lumb – 7

Flurred a chance, but scored another and was a threat with the ball.

Morgan Gannon – 7

Out of position in his first Super League start since 2023, but had a good game.

Jack Sinfield – 7

Made a couple of early errors, but finished a lovely try and set up another.

Mikolaj Oledzki – 7

Helped Leeds establish early dominance.

Andy Ackers – 8

Didn’t need to do the full-80 this time, but was good for the 63 minutes he was on.

Cooper Jenkins – 7

Ran strongly, particularly in his first spell.

James McDonnell – 7

Put in his usual hard-working effort, but gave away an interception try.

James Bentley – 8

Good involvement, did very well for Hall’s try after providing the final pass for Handley’s, but copped a knock late on.

Keenan Palasia – 7

Scored his first Super League try and took some stopping.

Subs

Jarrod O’Connor – 7

Played mainly at loose-forward and had a solid game.

Sam Lisone – 6

Not a lot of game time, in a couple of spells, but ran strongly.

Tom Holroyd – 7

A lot of game time, maintained the pack’s good start.

Alfie Edgell – 6

Got on for the last 20, on the right-wing and chased across to make a try-saving tackle.
