Leeds Rhinos announce strong squad featuring six new signings to face Leigh Leopards

Leeds Rhinos have announced their squad for the pre-season friendly against Leigh Leopards on Saturday and Rohan Smith is putting into plenty of new signings to have their first run-out of 2023.

Rhinos of course played on Boxing Day in the defeat to Wakefield Trinity but played an incredibly young and quite experimental side however Smith is flexing his squad strength this weekend.

New signings Sam Lisone, James McDonell, Luis Roberts, Leon Ruan, Derrell Olpherts and Justine Sangare will all feature against Leigh.

Leeds will travel to Leigh Sports Village to contest the Bev Risman Trophy in the 3pm kick-off.

McDonnell made 17  appearances for Leigh lasts eason in their promotion campaign whilst another former Leigh player, Luis Roberts, is set to debut having missed the Boxing Day clash.

There are first appearances in pre-season for Aidan Sezer, Blake Austin, David Fusitu’a, Zane Tetevano and Jack Sinfield as well.
