Leeds Rhinos man has been very impressed by the signings the club have made

Leeds Rhinos’ squad for 2023 is vastly different from their 2022 squad.

Jack Walker, Liam Suctliffe, Matt Prior, Brad Dwyer, Alex Mellor, Bodene Thompson, Tom Briscoe, Jack Broadbent and Muizz Mustapha have all left the club at the end of last year or in some cases mid season.

They have also added the likes Nene MacDonald, Sam Lisone, Derrell Olpherts, Justin Sangare, James McDonnell, Luke Hooley, Luis Roberts, Toby Warren and Leon Ruan.

But players like Jarrod O’Connor are going to be like new signings themselves after developing massively in the 2022 under Rohan Smith.

O’Connor told Serious About Rugby League that he has been impressed by the signings the club has made:

“All the signings have been impressive they have come straight in and have all fit in straight away. All of them have great work ethics which I think is the main thing we want because we know how skilful they all are with the ball.”

However, he has also sorry to see some Leeds players leave and is especially happy for Mustapha as he heads to Castleford Tigers:

“I’ll miss all the departed players but was always really close with Muizz but I’m really happy for him finding a club like Castleford and I’m hoping he has a big year for them.”
