Leeds Rhinos man “happy” for former teammate on the move and thanks new Hull FC signing

Leeds Rhinos have let go of a number of star players ahead of 2023.

Thus the squad has changed massively as Rohan Smith’s side look to go one step further this season.

The culture at the club still remains great, especially according to Sam Walters speaking to Serious About Rugby League on Boxing Day, and Walters’ good friend Jarrod O’Connor no doubt believes this too but is sad to see some of his former teammates move on but is excited for one young man leaving Leeds.

He said Serious About Rugby League:

“I’ll miss all the departed players but was always really close with Muizz but I’m really happy for him finding a club like Castleford and I’m hoping he has a big year for them.”

One of those leaving had a big impact his career in the shape of Brad Dwyer:

“I think Brad has been a really good player for Leeds of the years and having a big impact on some big games for the club. He’s made me play better because me and him both wanted to be playing but always giving me little tips on how to improve at 9 which I really appreciate.”

It is always a case of in and outs and O’Connor has been impressed with the new recruits:

“All the signings have been impressive they have come straight in and have all fit in straight away. All of them have great work ethics which I think is the main thing we want because we know how skilful they all are with the ball.”
