Super League side Catalans Dragons have confirmed that a total of nine players will leave the club at the end of the 2026 season.
The majority of that list were already announced to be departing, including the retiring pair Tommy Makinson and Ben Garcia.
Makinson, whose career began with St Helens in 2011, hangs up the boots in fourth place on Super League’s all-time top try scorers list, having dotted down 210 times in his illustrious career.
Garcia began life in the Dragons’ side in 2013, and has become one of the competition’s greatest-ever Frenchmen. He has held the captain’s armband since 2021 and has made a total of 287 Dragons appearances, including at Wembley in the historic 2018 Challenge Cup Final win.
Also named on the list are the known departures of Toby Sexton (Perth Bears), Solomona Faataape (St Helens), and Alrix Da Costa (Hull FC), with Sexton’s exit to the NRL’s newest club common knowledge before the season even began.
Josh Simm is another who is on the list, having already left the club earlier in the season to take up a short-term move with Oldham RLFC in the Championship.
Simm managed just four Perpignan appearances, with injury limiting him in his playing time. Fellow wingman Matty Russell also departs after just two games.
Another player to leave the club is back-rower Edenn Rogers-Smith, who has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds Rhinos.
The Australian only joined Catalans in mid-season and departs the Stade Gilbert Brutus with six appearances and two tries.
Lastly, Wigan Warriors loanee Kruise Leeming leaves the club. The Warriors hooker still has another season left on his contract at the Brick Community Stadium, but has been rumoured to be returning to Huddersfield Giants.
