Leeds Rhinos legend unimpressed after saying “Cas are sh*te, this should be a walkover”

Leeds Rhinos have been stunned by Castleford Tigers today to wrap up Magic Weekend.

The Tigers trailed 18-10 and 24-14 in the second half but claimed a famous 26-24 win thanks to late tries down the right edge through Alex Mellor and Jason Qareqare.

Mellor was up against his former side and Qareqare was on the back on a spell on loan at Bradford Bulls.

It is safe to say though Leeds Rhinos legend Ryan Bailey was not impressed by it at all.

The big prop, who also played for the Tigers, said at halftime “Cas are shite, this should be a walkover.”

The implication here was that Leeds should be good enough to walkover the Tigers and not that they would.

Bailey then stated “I rest my case” at fulltime as he was left unimpressed by the result.

Leeds’ tries came through Derrell Olpherts, James Bentley, Rhyse Martin and Mikolaj Oledzki.

The Rhinos did have a few injury problems but the general consensus was that they had enough to beat a Tigers side who have only won two games all season.

One of them was against Leeds at the Jungle earlier this season.
