Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow amazed by Wheelchair World Cup as Women’s game attracts staggering TV audience

The Rugby League World Cup has been a special tournament from start to finish and not just for the men’s tournament.
The women’s game has truly impressed and the stars of England’s women are becoming beloved especially Courtney Winfield-Hill whose kicking game has been massively praised.
Meanwhile, Tanya Arnold of the BBC has revealed that the audience for last night’s game peaked at 1.2 million.

The wheelchair tournament meanwhile has captured the heart of the nation with amazing attendances recorded at the games including 1,200 fans in Sheffield earlier this week.
Those playing the wheelchair game have certainly earnt the praise of Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow who has taken to Twitter to praise those who play the game:

England’s Wheelchair side are expected to meet France in the final hoping to unseat France who have been the benchmark in the sport for the last few years.
They were able to beat them in the mid-season international in June but that wasn’t a French team at full strength so they will have to find another level but going by their win over Australia in the opening game they may have found it.
