Kevin Sinfield is Super League’s most successful skipper and that’s not likely to change any time soon.

He guided the Leeds Rhinos to seven titles in 12 seasons and scooped up some impressive individual honours along the way but those have been dwarfed by what he has done off the field in recent years.

Sinfield has raised over £7 million in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease after his good friend and former teammate Rob Burrow was diagnosed with the illness in December 2019.

This has made him one of the most beloved figures in Britain at present with many calling for him to receive a knighthood after he had been referred to as Sir Kev by the Leeds fans for nearly a decade.

The love people feel for Sinfield was best shown on comedian Adam Hills’, who is also a Warrington Wolves PDRL star and Channel 4’s Super League presenter, The Last Leg last week, Sinfield was chosen by viewers to top the Christmas tree ahead of the Queen and the victorious Lionesses.

Now, Sinfield has appeared on the show proper.

The appearance of the Leicester Tigers defence coach was teased by the Rhinos on Twitter and The Last Leg page teasing him as “a very special surprise guest.”

He appeared during the show and again at the show’s conclusion.
