Leeds Rhinos lacking in halves whilst Wigan Warriors boosted by return of suspended star

Friday night will see Wigan Warriors look to restart their winning run after a blip last week against Hull FC and facing them will be Rohan Smith’s Leeds Rhinos.

The Rhinos suffered back to back defeats for the first time since round one and two when they fell short against Salford last week and they now face the daunting prospect of travelling to the DW.

Leeds have only won once away from Headingley this season whereas Wigan have only lost at the DW once which would suggest Smith’s side could be in for a tough test.

Adding to that test would be that they will be without Jack Sinfield who suffered a head blow last week and that will severely affect their depth in the half-backs as they’re also without Aidan Sezer who suffered a dead leg two weeks ago against Leigh.

Outside back Derrell Olpherts is back in contention having recovered from calf injury suffered at Hull KR in Round Seven as is Luis Roberts however back rower James McDonnell will miss this week’s game against his former club with an arm injury from the Salford game.

As for Wigan and Matt Peet has once again made two changes to his 21-player squad as Tom Forber and Zach Eckersley are replaced by Willie Isa who returns from a suspension and Cade Cust who returns from injury.
