Leeds Rhinos injury news with trio ruled out of Wakefield Trinity friendly

Leeds Rhinos Brad Arthur
Leeds Rhinos are set to field a near full-strength line-up in their Christmas fixture against Wakefield Trinity.

Head coach Brad Arthur plans to give all his available senior players a run on Boxing Day, including off-season signings Ryan Hall, Keenan Palasia, Cooper Jenkins, Jake Connor and Maika Sivo.

The Headingley derby with promoted Trinity is one of only two pre-season games before the Rhinos kick-off their Super League campaign against Wakefield in February.

Leeds, who also play host to Wigan Warriors for Ash Handley’s testimonial next month, will be without full-back Lachie Miller for the Christmas clash as he recovers from a hamstring problem.

Forward Ben Littlewood, who made his debut last season, is also ruled out following hamstring surgery.

Twenty-year-old centre Max Simpson, who has not played since suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear in January, 2023, remains on the Leeds Rhinos casualty list, but could be back in action in the new year.
