A lot has been made in national publications in recent days concerning Richie Myler and his high-profile split from Helen Skelton.
Skelton, of course, hosts Countyfile and has dabbled in the Channel 4 Super League coverage.
Well, now the former Blue Peter presenter will be taking the reins on a more permanent basis on Channel 4 with Adam Hills still in Australia.
But, the news broke this morning that Myler – the husband of Skelton and father of their children – was now dating the Leeds Rhinos President’s daughter.
Myler himself is returning from injury after a long period on the sidelines and will be ready to meet his new head coach Rohan Smith who arrived in the UK today.
Smith conducted his first press conference as Leeds boss today and was asked about the off-field issues surrounding Myler and whether or not he would be in contention with a lot going behind the scenes.
However, Smith had little to say other than that the diminutive playmaker is available.
“I’ve been made aware that there is something,” Smith said.
“But I’m not up to date with it – as far as I am aware he is available.”
Smith also revealed how tough and hectic the past few weeks have been trying to get to the UK as soon as possible.
“It’s been a hectic couple of weeks, I’ve watched a load of footage and I’ve finished things well with my family as it’s been a tough time for those guys.
“I’ve left my wife and children in Australia so it’s new for me.”
