Leeds Rhinos star Blake Austin has his immediate future sorted for the 2023 season.
says he is pleased to have his immediate future confirmed after agreeing an option for the 2023 season and now he is looking forward to helping the club build for a bright future.
Austin joined the Rhinos from Warrington Wolves this season and was a big part of Leeds’ performance on Friday night when they put his old team to the sword at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in a 40-4 victory.
The former Canberra Raider says he is looking to draw the positives from a tough start to his life at the Rhinos as he continues to learn and improve, he said, “I have learned a lot about myself over the last 10 or 12 weeks.
“You do discover things about yourself in adversity and I think the period we have had will stand me in good stead going forward. The confidence in the group has never wavered and this is such a big, proud club and I want to play my part in bringing success back to the Rhinos.”
Austin was a key part of the Leeds side that demolished Warrington Wolves 40-4 at the weekend as new boss Rohan Smith gets to grips with his new side.
