Leeds Rhinos have been awarded a controversial try in their fixture against Wigan Warriors tonight.
24-6 up at half-time, Ash Handley was presented with another major breakaway chance. He was hauled down a metre short from the line after a superb Liam Marshall tackle.
However, Harry Newman dived through Handley’s legs to score, much to the chagrin of the Wigan players.
Referee Liam Moore sent the decision to video referee James Child who couldn’t find any evidence to overturn the try despite Newman scoring through Handley’s legs.
