Leeds Rhinos and rivals hit hard by postal strikes

Leeds Rhinos and their fans have been hit hard by the postal strikes which could delay the arrival of fans’ season tickets prompting nervousness amongst them.

They made a statement on the club website this week:

“Due to further scheduled postal strikes, Leeds Rhinos Customer Experience team have issued an update regarding orders for 2023 Memberships.

“Taking into account the further planned postal strikes and to ensure the best chance for delivery before Christmas, the final date for fans to order their 2023 Membership for pre-Christmas delivery is now 4pm on Wednesday 7th December 2022.

“All memberships that have been ordered prior to 7th December will be fulfilled and sent in First Class post on Monday 12th December.

“Any packs ordered after 4pm on Wednesday 7th December 2022 will be fulfilled and sent in January 2023 to arrive before the start of the 2023 Betfred Super League Season.”

The Rhinos begin their season against Warrington Wolves away meanwhile they play Wakefield Trinity on Boxing Day in a friendly.

They are not the only club to be hit by the strikes with rivals Bradford Bulls also hit hard.

The Bulls said on Twitter:

“As a result of December’s postal strikes, we have been advised of the recommended last posting dates…

“We are reviewing our Festive Opening Hours to ensure you can get presents under the tree in time for Christmas!”
