Castleford Tigers have been hit with the news that both Jordan Turner and Bureta Faraimo are set to face long spells on the sidelines.
Turner suffered a shoulder injury in last Friday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final defeat at Hull KR, to the same shoulder that he had an operation on in pre-season and that could see him out until the end of the season.
“He’s going to see a second specialist on Friday,” head coach Lee Radford told BBC Radio Leeds.
“It’s not looking good unfortunately.
“It’s going to be a long term one I think – he’s going to need an operation.
“He was in good form and he was last year’s player of the season as well – it would be a massive blow for us moving forward.”
Bureta Faraimo is also set to endure a lengthy spell on the sidelines with the prognosis on a knee injury around six to eight weeks.
Radford named his 21-man squad yesterday for the trip to Wakefield Trinity tomorrow night:
1 Niall Evalds
