Lebanon name World Cup 9s squad

Lebanon Rugby league

Lebanon have named their squad for the World Cup 9s tournament in two weeks.

The Cedars have a weakened team from the last World Cup following disputes between players and the Lebanon Rugby League, with star NRL players Mitchell Moses, Robbie Farah, Alex Twal, Adam Doueihi and Abbas Miski all unavailable.

The Robinson brothers, Travis and Reece, provide the squad’s only NRL experience, while young Canterbury Bulldogs Kayne Kalache and James Roumanos are yet to make their first grade debuts.

Outside backs Anthony Layoun and Bilal Maarbani are the only other survivors from Lebanon’s 2017 World Cup side.
