Leaked video footage of another Chris Hill challenge on Richie Myler makes Leeds Rhinos fans fume

Leeds Rhinos’ Super League fixture with Huddersfield Giants had just about everything.

Full of skill, big hits and entertainment right until the end, it was a play-off game in waiting.

That being said, there were a few flashpoints that keep on getting dragged up, not least the battle between Leeds’ Richie Myler and Huddersfield’s Chris Hill.

Whilst one incident stood out – the one where Hill was sinbinned for allegedly lifting the legs of Myler in the tackle by referee Jack Smith – but there was also another one which got Leeds fans quite angry.

Myler kicked the ball in one passage of play and was hit late by Hill, see the footage below:

Though cited in the Disciplinary Match Review Panel for ‘late hit on kicker’, no further action was taken.

The minutes instead revealed: “Player is late but moderates contact and there is no flexion of the opponents head or neck.”

Though neither Hill nor Myler were banned for the parts they played in the flashpoint near the end, the same cannot be said of Myler’s teammate, Aidan Sezer, who has banned for the second time in close proximity following a high tackle.

Though six players were charged, only four were banned whilst a Hull man was also given a caution for ‘Other Contrary Behaviour.’
