League One has lost a team this week following the announcement that West Wales Raiders would not fulfil their fixtures and the consequence of the division becoming a 10 team league has seen some clubs make major squad management moves, with the most significant being Oldham signing a Fijian international.
The Roughyeds announced yesterday, Christmas Day, that they had made the move for Fijian international Joe Taira with the prop set to play his rugby for them in the upcoming season.
Formerly of Rochdale Hornets and Batley Bulldogs Taira joins and will play a huge role if Oldham are to gain promotion..
The side announced the news via their Twitter page on Christmas Day.

The announcement received hugely positive response with many fans unable to believe that Oldham had managed to pull off the signing of the man who went to the recent World Cup as part of the Fiji Bati squad.
