Latest on the future of Danny Brough

2022 is set to be Danny Brough’s last season as a rugby league player.

Brough signed for Bradford Bulls ahead of the 2021 season on a two-year deal and will play out that contract before retiring.

But, the mercurial halfback – who is now 38 years old – sat out a lot of 2021 with a bicep injury that needed surgery and could not help the Bulls progress through to the semi-finals of the Championship play-offs.

Instead, the West Yorkshire club were halted by the Batley Bulldogs last weekend as John Kear’s men continue to falter in the second tier.

Brough was named as the Betfred Super League Man of Steel in 2013 following an impressive season with Huddersfield Giants.

The Scotland International has also enjoyed spells with Dewsbury Rams, York City Knights, Hull FC, Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity during his 18-year career so far.
