Latest after Wigan Warriors’ scholarship game was abandoned with Huddersfield Giants following bad injury

Everyone knows rugby league is a tough sport, with injuries sometimes part and parcel of the game.

However, sometimes an injury can stand out for how shocking it is and that’s what happened in last night’s scholarship game between Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants.

The Wigan social media account tweeted:” ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ Tonightโ€™s Scholarship game between Wigan and @Giantsrl has been abandoned following an injury to a Huddersfield player in the first half. We send our best wishes to the injured player and hope for a speedy recovery.”

However, there is good news as Huddersfield tweeted earlier on today that the Giants player is doing well.

The club tweeted: “Our Scholarship fixture with @WiganWarriorsRL was abandoned last night after an injury to a player. We can confirm after being held in hospital, the player’s scans are clear. Thanks to both sets of medical teams for their hard work and wish a speedy recovery.”

Everyone at Serious About Rugby League passes on their well wishes to the Huddersfield man.
