Hull FC Interim Head Coach Andy Last has blasted his side’s attitude following their 54-18 defeat against the Salford Red Devils on Sunday.
The Black and Whites started the match as favourites amongst many but were delivered an almighty reality check as Ian Watson’s Salford put them to the sword.
The result leaves Hull with only three wins from eight matches as they continue to struggle for form.
Last criticised the attitude of his players and insist improvement is needed immediately!
“It was definitely not the start we wanted.” Last said.
“It was a kick in the guts. We failed to transfer anything we have done from training onto the pitch today.
“Our attitude was poor. We started well but too many unforced errors allowed them back into the match and they did not look back.
“The players are disappointed with themselves but they do need to start delivering.
“Good players manage to week in week out so there will be plenty of soul searching going on in training this week.
“We desperately need more steel in our defence. Conceding ten tries today was inexcusable.
“Taking nothing away from Salford, they played some fantastic rugby league but I thought they scored off far too many unforced errors.
“There are plenty of areas we need to address should we wish to bounce back against Castleford Tigers next week.
