Wigan Warriors Head Coach Adrian Lam has praised his sides defence following their semi-final win over Hull FC.
The Warriors kept the Black and Whites try-less during the match, and only had a Marc Sneyd penalty to show for their early efforts.
Hull also had an effort disallowed by the video referee, and had Bevan French to thank for a try-saving tackle on Marc Sneyd.
Lam praised the whole team for their effort.
He said:”I’m really pleased for the group. Everyone understands how difficult it had been this year. We didn’t start great, but our effort was there.
“Our defence has a lot of trust in each other. There was a try-saving tackle and a couple of other good moments. It was really satisfying to keep them at two points.
“There was a lot of resilience. You could see we were never going to be broken through our defensive line and that is how you need to be in big games.”
