Adrian Lam has labelled David Fifita’s comments “ridiculous” after he criticised Wigan’s tackling techniques on social media.
The Wakefield prop took to Twitter after last Friday’s game against the Warriors to highlight a tackle made on him by Joe Shorrocks.
Fifita captioned the video: “plz I love my job!! Don’t take it away with ur cheap shit”
Referee Robert Hicks didn’t blow for a penalty during the game but the former Cronulla Sharks forward was visibly angered by the challenge.
Shorrocks, who was making his Wigan debut, escaped suspension for the tackle after only receiving a Grade A charge from the Match Review Panel.

And speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Good Friday derby against St Helens, Lam claimed Fifita had made a big deal out of nothing.
“It was a little unfair I thought, looking back at the video,” he told Wigan Today.
“There was not much to it at all. If that’s what he thinks, fair enough.
“I’m not sure where that’s come from – it’s not something I coach and it’s ridiculous in that sense. We’ll move on – nothing will change the way we play.”
