Lam focused on strong end to season

Wigan Warriors Head Coach Adrian Lam has said he is focused on ensuring his tenure as Wigan coach is successful, rather than what happens afterwards.

It was announced just over a week ago that Lam would be leaving the Warriors after three years in charge. But before then, the Warriors still have two regular season games and the playoffs to contend with.

Lam said he would talk about the future when the time was right.

He said: “There is an opportunity, which I will discuss at a later time. For now, I am just making sure I focus on here. It is a turning point of the season, I feel.

“We have worked really hard to get our team back into semi-final mentality, and in the last two weeks, we have really crawled into that state.

“Without getting too far ahead of myself, and worrying about what is next, it is important to make sure I nail the end of my time here.

“I’ve loved every moment, and I want to go out as successfully as I can with the players and staff I have here.”
