Wigan Warriors Head Coach Adrian Lam has dedicated their League Leader Shield win to the Wigan fans.
The Warriors finalised top spot after a hard-fought 19-6 over Huddersfield Giants at Headingley on Friday night.
Lam dedicated the win to the fans, and he hopes to celebrate with them at some point. He also praised his side’s consistency, both before and after lockdown.
He said: “It would have been better if it was easier, but Huddersfield have been really consistent this year. The games they have lost haven’t been by much.
“I tried not to worry about it being close. There were a few nerves in the dressing room at half time, it is a big deal for them. We have been there or there abouts all the way this year and it is a reward for our efforts this year.
“We talk about the fans every week. We look forward to playing in front of them, and celebrating this with them. I am really proud of the group.”
