Leigh Leopards head coach Adrian Lam has shared the club’s stance on Lachlan Lam, and other transfers, after recent speculation.
According to Rugby League Live, he has been offered to Super League clubs because he has activated the clause in this contract with Leigh that would allow him to head to another side.
However, the legitimacy of this clause is being disputed by the club. Now, the Hull Daily Mail is reporting that Hull FC are keen to make the signing themselves. Sky Sports’ Jenna Brooks has also reported that FC had ‘got their man’ for 2025 – in reference to Lam.
Lachlan Lam would become yet another signing from Leigh Leopards, further to John Asiata, Zak Hardaker and more. Now, after being asked on this story, Adrian Lam has given a stance on his son moving away from the club.

In the press conference today, Adrian Lam was asked if he could provide an update, and reponded: “No, like I’ve said all along, I’m pretty direct down the line of: it’s not a talking point for me, really.
“The focus has been on making sure the team is in a place where we need to be. We don’t need the side rumors or speculation to be added into that.
“So my focus is completely on the team in front of me and what’s ahead of us. You know, it’s gonna be difficult enough to come up with a victory this weekend and we’re all focused in the right direction for that.”
Lam is always very keen to keep thing under wraps, or to leave talk on speculation to the club’s Head of Rugby, Chris Chester, who is in charge of recruitment.
Refusal to completely deny these reports, however, suggests that there’s some truth in the fact that he’s not completely secure for next season for the Leopards.
