Kyle Amor suggests some players “are not on board” with Super League coach

Kyle Amor

There are a couple of coaches under pressure in Super League, we have seen questions raised about Rohan Smith at Leeds Rhinos, though he firmly shut those rumours down with a huge turn around in form, whilst questions were also raised of Warrington Wolves and Daryl Powell as well as Huddersfield Giants’ Ian Watson.

Adding to the pressure is the fact former Super League Grand Final winning coach and former St Helens boss Justin Holbrook is now available after his Gold Coast Titans exit.

When Holbrook was linked with Leeds, Warrington and Huddersfield, the Giants shut down these rumours firmly saying they were “dismayed and totally furious” with the “malicious rumours.”

This week the Giants are taking on Catalans Dragons and Kyle Amor has had his say on the Giants saying that there could be some Giants players not on board that Ian Watson is trying to identify.

He said on The Last Tackle: “I think Huddersfield are in a very troublesome place. It almost reminds me of when I was at Warrington last year, that period where the lads literally know they can’t make the six and they almost want the season out the way.

“Winning’s a habit and losing’s a habit and they’re in that horrible rut. The coach is obviously asking question marks about their players, he wants to know who’s on board net who isn’t on board next year. I don’t see the Huddersfield thing being a quick fix anytime soon this year.”
