Kyle Amor makes shocking relegation prediction

Kyle Amor

This weekend there are set to be some huge fixtures as Warrington Wolves and Hull FC are set to meet in a crucial game in the play-off race, Wigan Warriors head over to France for a big game at the top of the table whilst Leeds Rhinos head over to Huddersfield Giants in as a record crowd is set to be at the game.

This weekend we are also set to see the fall out of the relegation Grand Final last week as Castleford Tigers defeated Wakefield Trinity.

Cas take on Champions St Helens and Wakefield are against Salford Red Devils.

Now Kyle Amor had weighed in on the fight for survival on The Last Tackle.

He said of Wakefield: “I think Wakefield’s biggest bugbear when you look back on this season is, I can’t remember a side starting the season as bad as what they did.

“They were racking in 40s, 50s, 60s even on some occasions and I don’t think they scored for something like five or six weeks; you can’t really start a season like that and then complain about towards the back end of the year where you are.

“They have improved, they have done some decent performances, turned over some decent sides as well. But you’re right, time is running out. There’s what, five games left?

“Ten points are still available, so there is a chance, but again, it’s getting now where it’s every game for them and for Cas is a Grand Final.”

He shockingly predicted Castleford to go down: “I remember being sat in one of these two chairs and doing this right at the very start of the season. I actually felt that I’d seen enough of the Championship and I liked how Leigh recruited.

“I remember thinking, calling them around about ninth, and I said from day one that I thought Castleford Tigers would be in trouble because the squad was too old. I didn’t think they had enough quality within their side to stay up.

“So I still think, call me a bit mad, I still think Castleford will go down. I still think Castleford will go down, I really do.”
