Kumuls name squad for GB game

Papua New Guinea Kumuls have named their squad for Saturday’s test against Great Britain.

It is the final match of the GB Lions’ tour of the southern hemisphere, which saw them lose three matches out of three.

The Kumuls are boosted by the return of Catalans Dragons centre David Mead. The versatile back missed their win over Fiji on Saturday with injury.

Other familiar faces include Leeds Rhinos’ goalkicking prop Rhyse Martin. The prop has been an important part for the Rhinos since signing from NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs.

Barrow Raiders pair Stargrorth Amean and Wartovo Puaral are also included. Both players played crucial parts as the Cumbrians battle against relegation from the Championship.

Former Sheffield Eagles winger Garry Lo will be a recognisable name. Lo has been playing for AS Carcassonne in France since leaving Castleford Tigers last year.

New Doncaster halfback Watson Boas will also play. He is one to watch after an impressive season whilst on loan at the Dons.

The match kicks off at 7.30am UK time.
