Kruise Leeming has warned that Leeds Rhinos are still “evolving” and are “unknown” going into 2023

Leeds Rhinos star Kruise Leeming has said he has “fire in his belly” ahead of the 2023 but is also keen to fly under the radar.

This comes as he underlined what he wants from his 2023 campaign at Headingley when speaking to the Sportsman:

“I just want to fly under the radar and get my job done this year. I have a lot of fire in my belly after what happened last year. There’s a lot for me to go at this year and there’s no extra motivation that’s needed for me to do it. There’s a lot of fire in my belly and hopefully I’ll have a big season.”

Wanting to fly under the radar in 2023, he has warned that the Rhinos are still an unknown and evolving team under Rohan Smith:

“Even though we had that success at the backend of last year, it’s still unknown for us as Rohan is still a new coach to us and there’s new ways of playing. We’re still learning. It’s not like we’ve had a blueprint of what works and we’re just going to follow that. We want to evolve as a team and as we have such a young team, if we get this right then we can start challenging for and winning trophies and do it for the next ten years because if we can keep hold of everyone, the team is a young team and the future is looking bright.”
