Kristian Woolf gives big update on St Helens star Regan Grace

St Helens have had a number of tough injuries in recent weeks.

Will Hopoate and Regan Grace have been two of those who have suffered in 2022 with problems, whilst Jonny Lomax has been playing with a ruptured bicep and Lewis Dodd is out for the season.

For head coach Kristian Woolf, he is excited to see Welsh international Grace back after the Challenge Cup Final.

“They will both be 100% back after the break,” Woolf told Saints TV.

“I know there are have been some question marks over how long it has taken with Regan.

“There have been a few complications, it’s been a little bit more of a significant injury than what was first diagnosed.

“It’s been really important that he has been given the time to make it right and we do the work that needs to be done to make him bulletproof before he comes back.

“By the time he gets back he will have a lot of footy ahead of him.

“I’m vey comfortable with where he sits and what impact he will have.”

Woolf also confirmed that Hopoate will return in the week after the Challenge Cup Final following a difficult period of injuries for the Tongan international.
