The Challenge Cup is 126 years old and this week the Round Six draw was completed.
The Final is three games away for the 16 clubs involved and it returns to Wembley after a brilliant final between Wigan and Huddersfield Giants at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium and it will play home to the 1895 Cup, which is a shot at Wembley for the four Championship clubs involved in today’s draw, as well as the Women’s Challenge Cup Final for the first time.
A historic event and the road to it took a huge step forward this week with the draw.
There is a guaranteed Championship club in the quarter-finals with York and London meeting.
Meanwhile the biggest game of the round is undoubtedly the meeting between Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors who have won 34 Challenge Cups between them.
Meanwhile, after a fiery clash over Easter, Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves meet again with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.
Championship clubs Batley and Halifax play Hull KR and St Helens respectively so it not easy ties for them against some of the top teams in Super League at present.
Salford Red Devils meet Huddersfield Giants, Castleford Tigers take on Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity host Leigh Leopards in the other all-Super League games.
